Stayed at Orange Ele for two nights. Kristine was none too happy w/ John, the owner. It was fairly creepy. Ruddy red stained bathtub and blankets w/ holes or similar stains. Lots of family pics and frog statues. Slept in a silo that was so cold we might as well have been outside. Got a bit sick, but feeling better.

Went to ADDO Ele park on Tues. Saw an elephant’s member. It was larger than me. Saw a buffalo but didn’t get to see the rest of the big five. Learned some fun facts about elephants including the capillaries under their ears that they use for cooling and the way they communicate from great distances. Steve our driver was pretty cool.

Had dinner w/ Vidar and Ingrid while Kristine and Chris (another visitor who has spent the last year or so traveling) went on a night tour (our sunset drive was scheduled wrong, pissing off Kristine a bit more). At dinner we discussed personality types. I’m an introverted, thinking… somthing or other (I’ll update this later, on the clock here at Tube N Axe in Tsitsikamma). We also talked about relationships and how bitter I am and shouldn’t be.

Left for Tsitsikamma this morning and I had to debate staying in PE on my own for a chance to go to SeaView Lion Park, but traveling alone is awful. I figure I’ll have another shot at it.

Went hiking to a waterfall in Storms River instead. It was tough for someone out of shape like me but I survived. I banged my leg against a rock and got a hematoma. I think the adrenaline helped me power through on the way back. Kristine flew through.

Gonna go to dinner and relax tonight. Headed back to Cape Town tomorrow. 10 hour trip.
